1. Service Description

ReefDose ("App") is developed by LynxApps ("we," "us," "our") and provides professional reef aquarium management tools including parameter tracking, dosing calculations, task scheduling, and analytics. The App uses local storage (SwiftData) and optional iCloud sync via CloudKit for cross-device synchronization.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, or lend the App to others
• Remove or alter copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

3. Subscription Terms & Pricing

ReefDose offers a free plan and three Pro subscription tiers:

Free Plan

• 1 tank
• Basic parameter logging
• Task reminders
• No in-app purchases required

Pro Plan Options

• Monthly: $2.99 USD per month (auto-renewing)
• Yearly: $29.99 USD per year (auto-renewing, includes 7-day free trial)
• Lifetime: $49.99 USD one-time purchase

• Dosing calculator with product library
• Advanced trend analytics
• iCloud sync across devices
• Home Screen widgets
• CSV/PDF export
• Maintenance & equipment logging

4. Subscription Management

• Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store
• All transactions are processed by Apple
• Auto-renewing subscriptions will renew unless canceled in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are governed by Apple's refund policy
• You can cancel anytime through Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• Free trial (Yearly plan only): 7 days free, then charged unless canceled

5. Data Handling & iCloud Sync

Your tank data is stored locally on your device by default. When you enable iCloud sync (Pro plan only), data is encrypted using CloudKit and synced to Apple's private servers. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

6. User Responsibilities

• Use the App only for legitimate, legal purposes related to reef aquarium hobby
• Do not attempt unauthorized access to the App
• Maintain accurate tank records
• Verify dosing calculations before applying to your tank
• Use the App as a tool to aid decision-making, not as the sole source of care guidance
• Keep your Apple ID secure if using iCloud sync

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Dosing calculations will be accurate for all scenarios
• The App will function on all devices or iOS versions
• Analytics or trend predictions will be fully accurate

Important: ReefDose is a tool to assist in reef tank management. It is not a substitute for professional guidance or proper testing. You are responsible for the health and safety of your aquatic animals.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions or in-app purchases, or $0 if you used only the free version. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost tank data, fish loss, or business interruption.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including all code, design, graphics, features, and product library content, is owned by LynxApps. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or use our branding without permission.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, at our discretion, or as required by law. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple's CloudKit for iCloud sync and Apple App Store for subscriptions and billing. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
