Your receipts stay on your device. Receipt Digitizer for Android reads receipts on your phone. Your receipt images and expense details are never uploaded to our servers, and no account is required.

This Privacy Policy explains how Receipt Digitizer for Android ("App"), developed by LynxApps ("we," "us," "our"), handles your information. The App lets you photograph or import receipts, record expenses, organise them into categories and folders, track budgets, and export or back up your records.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information Stored On Your Device
The following is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:
- Receipt images captured with the camera or imported from your gallery
- Expense details such as merchant, amount, date, and notes
- Categories, folders, budgets, and reminder settings
- Any backup file you create, which is saved where you choose
- Optional app lock settings
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- Receipt images or their content
- Financial details, amounts, or your bank or card information
- Your precise location, contacts, or messages
4. Information Collected Automatically
To keep the App reliable and improve it, limited technical data is collected through Google services:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: app launches, feature usage, crash reports, and device specifications. This data does not include receipt contents or amounts.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): an advertising identifier and ad interaction data, used to show ads in the free version
- Support contact (optional): if you email us, we receive your email address and any details you share
5. Permissions
- Camera: to scan receipts. Photos are processed on your device.
- Photos and files: only the images you choose to import.
- Notifications: to send reminders you set up. These are scheduled on your device.

7. Your Choices & Controls
- Delete records: remove any receipt, expense, or folder in the App at any time
- Delete all data: clear the App's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App
- Export: export your records as PDF or CSV
- Notifications: turn reminders off in Android Settings → Apps → Receipt Digitizer → Notifications
- Ad personalisation: manage ads in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
8. Data Security
Because your receipts and expense data stay on your device, they are protected by Android's built-in security, including file-level encryption and screen lock on supported devices. Data sent to Google services is sent over encrypted connections.
9. Children's Privacy
Receipt Digitizer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
