Your pet's records are private. Furivio keeps your pet profiles, stories, chats, memories and care records on your device and in your own private iCloud account. We do not run a server that stores them, and we cannot read them.
1. What We Don't Do
Furivio does not:
- Send your pet details, memories, chats or stories to any LynxApps server
- Send your text to any external AI or network service to generate content
- Create or require a LynxApps account
- Sell or share your personal information
- Use your location or contacts
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following is stored on your device and, when iCloud sync is on, in your private iCloud database:
- Pet profiles: name, animal type, breed, age, traits, favourite things, habits, and optional photos
- Personalities: the fictional character details and trait scores Furivio generates and you edit
- Memories: your notes, optional photos, and the titles, categories, tags and summaries attached to them
- Stories, chapters and comics: the stories you create, the comic scripts and dialogue, and any artwork generated for them
- Chats: your conversations with each pet's character
- Care items: titles, notes, due dates and repeat schedules
- Health log: weight entries and notes
- Settings: language, reminder times, and whether memorial mode is on
Daily usage counts, which apply the free-tier daily limits, are kept only on your device and are never synced.
3. iCloud Sync
Furivio syncs your content through Apple's CloudKit, using your private iCloud database under your Apple ID. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. LynxApps has no access to your iCloud data. If you use Apple's features to delete your iCloud data, that deletion is handled by Apple.
4. AI-Generated Text
Furivio creates stories, comic scripts, chat replies, memory titles and summaries, and daily content using the on-device language model built into your iPhone (Apple Intelligence). This text is generated on your device. Furivio does not call any external AI service to generate it.
If Apple Intelligence is not available on your device, Furivio tells you and still saves the information you entered, such as your memory note.
5. Comic Artwork
Comic panel artwork is created with Apple's Image Playground feature. If artwork cannot be created, Furivio shows a clearly labelled template image instead. Artwork is stored with the comic on your device and in your iCloud, like your other content. Apple's use of Image Playground is governed by Apple's policies.
6. Photos
Furivio only uses photos you choose to add, such as a pet photo or a memory photo. Photos are stored on your device and in your iCloud with the record they belong to. Furivio does not upload them to any LynxApps server.
7. Search and Widget
- Spotlight: Furivio indexes only pet names and the AI-generated titles of memories. It never indexes the text of your notes.
- Home Screen widget: shows pet names and breeds. The widget reads a small snapshot stored in a shared App Group on your device. It is never sent to a server.
8. Advertising (Planned, Free Tier)
Furivio is planned to show ads in the free version through Google Mobile Ads. Before any ad request is made, Furivio asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and no ad request is made without consent. Premium subscribers never see ads, and the ad SDK does not start for Premium users. Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We will update this section if ads are enabled in the App Store version.
9. In-App Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. LynxApps never sees or stores your payment details. Your Premium status is checked on your device.
10. Notifications
Care reminders and the optional daily reminder are local notifications, scheduled on your device. They never pass through a LynxApps server. You can turn them off in iPhone Settings or in Furivio's Settings.
11. Permissions
- Photos: to add pet and memory photos, when you choose to
- Notifications: to send care reminders and the optional daily reminder
12. Export
You can export a PDF pet profile, a memory book PDF, or a JSON file of your data. Exports are created on your device and saved where you choose. The JSON export does not include photos. Export files are yours to store and share, and Furivio does not send them anywhere.
13. Deleting Your Data
- Delete a pet to remove its memories, comics, chats, care items and health entries. Shared stories keep their text and no longer show the pet.
- Use Erase everything in Settings to remove all records, photos, artwork, reminders, Spotlight entries and widget data from your device.
- Because your content syncs through iCloud, deletions also sync to your iCloud data once they reach Apple's servers.
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. Data in your iCloud is removed through iCloud settings.
14. Children's Privacy
Furivio is made for pet owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if Furivio's data practices change. The latest version is always at /furivio/privacy. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
