1. Service Description

SubGuard ("App") is developed by LynxApps ("we," "us," "our") and helps users track recurring subscriptions, analyze spending patterns, and discover cost-saving opportunities. All tracking and analysis occurs locally on your device — your subscription data is not uploaded to our servers.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, or lend the App to others
• Remove or alter copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for commercial purposes

3. Pricing & In-App Purchases

The App offers a free version with ads and a Remove Ads in-app purchase:

• Free: All core features, ad-supported
• Remove Ads: $2.99 USD one-time purchase (price may vary by region)

Purchase terms:

• Apple processes all transactions and handles billing
• Purchases are managed through your Apple ID
• Refunds are governed by Apple's policies
• Manage or change your purchase anytime through App Store settings

4. Data Handling & Privacy

Your subscription data is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared — it is processed entirely on your device using local storage (SwiftData). We collect minimal technical data (device info, crash reports, usage analytics) through third-party services. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. User Responsibilities

• Use the App only for legitimate, legal purposes
• Do not attempt unauthorized access to the App
• Verify subscription information before relying on tracking data
• Keep track of actual renewal dates and costs from your billing statements
• Understand that the App provides awareness, not automated management of subscriptions

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• All subscription tracking will be accurate or complete
• The App will function on all devices or iOS versions
• Spending calculations will match actual billing statements

You use the App at your own risk. SubGuard is a tracking and awareness tool, not a subscription management or cancellation service. You are responsible for managing your actual subscriptions directly with service providers.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases, or $0 if you used only the free version. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, data loss, missed savings, or business interruption.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including all code, design, graphics, and features, is owned by LynxApps. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or use our branding without permission.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, at our discretion, or as required by law. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting), Google AdMob (advertising), and the Apple App Store (transactions and billing). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Cloud Storage & iCloud

SubGuard v1 uses local-only storage. Cloud sync via iCloud/CloudKit is not currently supported. If this feature is added in future updates, we will provide clear notification and updated terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
