Your tank data is encrypted and secure. All tank parameters, dosing records, and livestock information are stored locally on your device or encrypted in iCloud. We do not collect, analyze, or share your data with third parties.

LynxApps ("we," "us," "our") operates the ReefDose application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy — your reef tank data is encrypted and stays under your control.
2. Information We Collect
Tank & Parameter Data
The App stores reef tank information including tank name, volume, equipment details, water parameters (calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, pH, salinity, temperature), dosing records, livestock inventory, and maintenance logs.
Important: All data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. With iCloud enabled, your data is encrypted and synced to CloudKit (Apple's private database). Your data is never sent to our servers.
Device & Usage Information
Through third-party services, we automatically collect:
- Device model and operating system version
- App usage data and feature interactions
- Crash reports and error logs
In-App Purchase Information
All subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store payment card information. We receive only purchase confirmation and subscription status information.

4. Data Storage & Encryption
Local Storage (Free Plan)
Tank data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Your data remains on your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
iCloud CloudKit (Pro Plan)
When you enable iCloud sync (Pro plan), your data is encrypted using Apple's CloudKit encryption and stored in Apple's private database. CloudKit encryption means:
- Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Only you can decrypt your data (with your Apple ID credentials)
- Apple cannot access your tank data
iCloud sync is optional — you can use ReefDose entirely offline without syncing.

6. Your Privacy Rights
General Users
- Delete all your data by uninstalling the app or deleting from iCloud settings

7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will promptly delete such information if discovered.

- Tank data: stored locally on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app or remove iCloud backup
- Usage analytics: retained up to 60 days
- Crash reports: retained up to 90 days
- CloudKit data: synced to iCloud; you control deletion

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll reflect changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
