1. Service Description
ReefDose for Android ("App") is developed by LynxApps ("we," "us," "our") and helps reef aquarium keepers record water parameters, calculate dosing, schedule maintenance, and manage livestock and equipment records. The App works offline, and your data is stored on your device.
2. Dosing and Aquarium Safety Disclaimer
Important: Dosing calculations and health indicators are provided as guidance only. Always verify doses against the product label, your test kit instructions, and your own knowledge of your tank. Incorrect dosing can harm or kill fish, corals, and invertebrates. Dose gradually, test before and after changes, and consult an experienced reef keeper or aquarium professional when in doubt. LynxApps is not responsible for livestock losses, equipment damage, or any other consequence of using the App's calculations.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Android devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Google Play's Terms of Service. You may not:
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Rent, lease, or lend the App to others
- Remove or alter copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

The App offers a free version and Pro options:

Subscription terms:
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- All transactions are processed by Google Play Billing
- Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy
- Manage or cancel anytime via Google Play → Subscriptions
5. Data Handling & Privacy
Your tank data is stored on your device and is not uploaded to us. The App sends anonymous analytics and crash reports through Firebase (by Google), and purchases are handled by Google Play. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
6. User Responsibilities
- Use the App only for legitimate, lawful purposes
- Do not attempt to circumvent the App's purchase enforcement
- Back up your data before clearing storage or uninstalling. Your records are stored only on your device.
- Verify dosing and water chemistry decisions yourself, as described in Section 2
- Keep your Google account secure
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that it will function on all devices or Android versions, or that its calculations are suitable for your specific tank.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions or in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $0 if you used only the free version. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, data loss, livestock loss, or equipment damage.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including all code, design, graphics, and features, is owned by LynxApps and protected by copyright. All rights are reserved. You retain all rights to the data you enter into the App. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or use our branding without permission.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, at our discretion, or as required by law. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.
11. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Play for subscriptions and billing, and Firebase (by Google) for anonymous analytics and crash reporting. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available at /reefdose-android/terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
