Frequently asked questions
How do I add a medication?+
Tap the plus (+) icon on the main screen, then enter the medication's name, dosage, and schedule. You can also add notes and enable pill-count tracking for refill monitoring. Save, and it appears in your medication list.
How do dose reminders work?+
When you add or edit a medication, you can set the times you take each dose. PillVault schedules local notifications on your device to remind you. You'll get a nudge at each scheduled time so you never forget.
How does refill tracking work?+
Enable pill-count tracking for a medication and enter your current quantity. PillVault automatically calculates your refill date based on your dosing schedule and shows color-coded urgency indicators as you get closer to running out.
I marked a dose by mistake. Can I undo it?+
Yes. After marking a dose as taken, you can tap undo to reverse it instantly, keeping your dose history accurate.
Is my medication data private?+
Completely. All your medication and dose information is stored locally on your device. PillVault does not collect or transmit your health data, and no account is required. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I sync across multiple devices?+
Cross-device syncing is not available yet. Because your data is stored locally for privacy, it currently stays on a single device. iCloud sync is on our roadmap for a future release.
How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?+
Open PillVault, go to Settings โ Restore Purchases, and make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your Premium status will be restored.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?+
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap [Your Name] at the top
- Select Subscriptions
- Choose PillVault
- Tap Cancel Subscription or change your plan
Is PillVault a medical device?+
No. PillVault is a personal organizational tool, not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist for medical decisions.
