Your fasting data stays on your device. HonestFast for Android stores your fasts, water log and settings on your phone. We don't collect your fasting history, health details, or location, and no account is required.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how HonestFast for Android ("App"), developed by LynxApps ("we," "us," "our"), handles your information. The App is a fasting tracker for intermittent fasting and Islamic fasting, with Ramadan prayer times, water logging, streaks and fasting history.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information Stored On Your Device
The following is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:
- Fasting records: start and end times, plan type, and metabolic stage history
- Water intake for each day
- Settings and preferences, such as your chosen plans, theme, language and reminder times
- Ramadan and prayer time settings, including any city you select
- Your onboarding and app state
Your data is kept in the App's on-device database and settings storage.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- Your fasting history or water logs on any server
- Body measurements or health records
- Your precise location or contacts
- Your name, email address or any account details, because the App has no accounts
4. Analytics and Crash Reports
To keep the App reliable, anonymous usage and crash data may be collected through Google Firebase:
- Firebase Analytics: app events such as screens opened and features used. Events contain only categories, counts, durations and identifiers. They never include free text, weight values or location.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and device specifications to help us fix problems
If the App is built without Firebase configuration, these services do nothing.
5. Advertising
The free version of the App may show ads served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ads are never shown during an active fast, and Premium users don't see ads. Ad personalisation is controlled through your Google account and Android settings.
6. Location and Prayer Times
Ramadan prayer times, Sehri and Iftar times use your location:
- Choosing a city: the city you select is stored on your device and is never sent anywhere
- Location permission (optional): if you grant it, the App uses your device location only to work out your city and timezone for accurate local prayer times. Your location is not stored or shared.
- Prayer time calculations are performed on your device
7. Health Connect (Optional)
If you choose to connect Health Connect, the App requests permission for the specific data types you approve, such as body weight. The data is used only to show insights inside the App. It is never uploaded or shared. You can disconnect at any time from Health Connect or Android settings. Data already stored in Health Connect stays under your control there.
8. Permissions
- Notifications: to send fasting and Ramadan reminders you set up
- Exact alarms: so reminders and fast timers fire at the right time
- Location (optional): to resolve your city and timezone for prayer times
- Health Connect (optional): only for the data types you approve

10. Your Choices & Controls
- Delete records: remove fasts, water entries or history inside the App at any time
- Delete all data: clear the App's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App
- Notifications: turn reminders off in Android Settings → Apps → HonestFast → Notifications
- Health Connect: disconnect at any time from Health Connect or Android settings
- Ad personalisation: manage ads in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
11. Data Security
Because your fasting data stays on your device, it is protected by Android's built-in security, including file-level encryption and screen lock on supported devices. Data sent to Google services travels over encrypted connections.
12. Children's Privacy
HonestFast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
