1. Who We Are

LynxApps ("we," "us," "our") develops the Duplicate Photo & Video Finder application ("App") for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.

2. Photo & Video Data

The App accesses your photo library solely to detect duplicate and similar photos and videos on your device. All detection and analysis -- including dHash perceptual matching, SHA-256 exact matching, Vision ML similarity, color histogram analysis, and EXIF clustering -- happens locally on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

3. Analytics and Crash Reporting

ReefDose uses Firebase (by Google) for two purposes in release builds:

• Firebase Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated event data such as "scan started", "scan completed", "deletion performed", and "paywall displayed". No photo content, video content, or file names are ever included in analytics events. Analytics events fire only in release (App Store / TestFlight) builds, not in debug or simulator builds.
• Firebase Crashlytics: If the App crashes, a report containing device model, iOS version, app version, and a stack trace is sent. No personal data or photo content is included in crash reports.

Firebase data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising

Free users see banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob with Unity Ads mediation. Pro subscribers see no ads.

• Google AdMob: Delivers ads using advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and device information. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Unity Ads (mediation): An ad mediation network that may serve ads to free users. Governed by Unity's Privacy Policy.

You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. In-App Purchases

All subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit 2. LynxApps never sees or stores your payment details. Purchase receipt validation happens on-device.

6. App Permissions

• Photo Library: Required to scan your library for duplicates. You can grant Full Access or Limited Access. The App cannot detect duplicates in photos you exclude.
• Notifications: Optional, used to notify you when a background scan completes. You control this in iOS Settings.
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): Required on iOS 14.5+ for personalized ads. If you decline, ads are served without personalization.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your photo and video data is never stored on our servers. To remove locally cached data (scan hashes, settings):

• Use the "Clear Cache" option in Settings within the App.
• Delete the App from your device to permanently remove all local App data.

8. Security

The App relies on iOS's built-in security model. App data is stored in the app sandbox, encrypted at rest by iOS data protection. No photo or video content is transmitted over the network.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)

• Access: All your data is on your device and visible within the App at any time.
• Deletion: Delete app data via Settings → Clear Cache, or delete the App entirely.
• No data sale: We do not sell personal data.
• Ad opt-out: Limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Analytics opt-out: Anonymous analytics are governed by Firebase; refer to Google's privacy controls.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
