1. Data We Don't Collect

Honest Fast does not:

• Collect or send your fasting logs to any server
• Collect your location (except for optional Ramadan prayer time calculations stored locally)
• Use analytics or tracking software
• Create or require user accounts
• Sell or share your data with third parties
• Serve advertisements or behavioral tracking

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All data is stored locally on your device using CoreData and UserDefaults:

• Fasting logs: Start time, duration, plan type, metabolic stage data — stored on your device only
• Water intake: Daily glass count per date — stored in app-group UserDefaults for widget access
• Preferences: Chosen fasting plans, notification settings, Ramadan city selection — stored locally
• Health data: Body weight from Apple Health (if you connect) — never leaves your device, only used for personal insights

3. Apple Health Integration (Optional)

If you choose to connect Apple Health:

• Honest Fast requests permission to read body weight from Apple Health
• Weight data is read locally and never transmitted, stored, or shared
• You can disconnect Apple Health at any time via Settings → Health
• All data remains encrypted within Apple's Health framework on your device

4. Location & Prayer Times (Ramadan Mode)

For Ramadan prayer time calculations:

• Manual city selection: Your chosen city is stored in the app — never sent anywhere
• GPS location (optional): If you enable location access, Honest Fast uses GPS to reverse-geocode your location to a timezone for accurate local prayer times — location data is never stored or transmitted
• Prayer time calculations are performed entirely on your device using the Muslim World League astronomical method
• Timezone info is derived locally from your device or GPS coordinates — never shared with servers

5. App Permissions

Honest Fast may request:

• Notifications: To send fasting reminders and Ramadan prayer time alerts — fully under your control via iOS settings
• Location: To determine your timezone for accurate Ramadan prayer times — only used locally, never stored or transmitted
• Health: To read/write body weight from Apple Health if you choose to connect — only with your explicit permission

6. Live Activities & Widgets

Lock screen and home screen widgets:

• Access fasting state via app-group UserDefaults
• Display real-time timer and water count
• All data remains on your device and shared container
• No data is sent to Apple or any third party

7. Data Deletion

Your data is yours. To delete your Honest Fast data:

• Delete the app from your device — all local data is automatically removed
• Or use Settings → Apps → Honest Fast → Delete App & Data
• Your Apple Health data remains in the Health app and is not affected

8. Security

Honest Fast uses:

• iOS native storage (CoreData) with automatic device encryption
• App groups for widget/Live Activity data sharing with the same encryption
• No network transmission of any health or personal data
• No external servers or cloud sync (all offline-first)

9. Third-Party Services

Honest Fast uses:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases only (handled by Apple's secure payment system)
• Apple Health: If you choose to connect — managed via iOS's native Health framework
• Apple's Geocoding (CLGeocoder): For optional GPS location reverse-geocoding to timezone — local-only operation, not stored

10. Children's Privacy

Honest Fast is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Parents: if your child has used Honest Fast, contact us to request deletion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy over time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use means acceptance of changes.

12. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)

Since Honest Fast stores all data locally on your device with no server-side collection:

• Access: All your data is on your device; export via device backup or manual review
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all data
• No data sale: We don't collect data to sell; GDPR/CCPA/LGPD safeguards are built-in by design
• Portability: Your fasting history is stored in standard iOS formats; you can export manually
