Zakat Book is a private, offline-first Zakat tracker for iPhone. It helps you:

• Track your annual Zakat obligation across all asset types
• Calculate Zakat due based on your nisab standard (gold or silver)
• Log Zakat payments with recipient, method, and receipt photo
• Manage Zakat for multiple people (self, spouse, dependents)
• View your all-time Zakat history and charts (Premium)
• Export PDF and CSV reports of your Zakat record

All data is stored on your device — no accounts, no cloud (unless you opt in to iCloud sync on Premium), 100% private.

Zakat Book supports 8 asset categories:

• Cash & Savings — bank accounts, cash on hand
• Gold — weight-based entry (grams + price per gram)
• Silver — weight-based entry (grams + price per gram)
• Precious Metals — other metals by weight
• Investments — stocks, funds, and similar
• Cryptocurrency — digital assets by value
• Business Assets — inventory, receivables, and similar
• Property — zakatable property held for trade
• Debts — deducted from your total zakatable wealth

Zakat Book does not classify any asset as zakatable or not — you add only the assets you personally consider zakatable, based on your own religious understanding.

When creating a Zakat year, you choose your nisab standard:

• Gold nisab: 85 grams of gold. Enter today's gold price per gram — Zakat Book multiplies to get your threshold.
• Silver nisab: 595 grams of silver. Enter today's silver price per gram — Zakat Book multiplies to get your threshold.

If your total zakatable wealth meets or exceeds the threshold, Zakat due = 2.5% of total zakatable wealth. If it falls below, no Zakat is due for that year.

Zakat Book does not recommend one nisab standard over the other — consult scholars you trust for guidance on which to apply.

1. Go to the Zakat tab and tap the "+" button
2. Enter the hawl start date and expected due date
3. Choose your nisab standard (gold or silver) and enter the current metal price
4. Optionally assign a person (for multi-person tracking)
5. Tap Save — then add your assets to the year

1. Open a Zakat year and tap "Add Payment"
2. Enter the amount, date, payment method, and recipient
3. Optionally attach a receipt photo or add notes
4. Tap Save — the year status updates automatically (Partial, Complete, or Overpaid)

You can save frequently used recipients (mosque, charity, family) in Recipients for quick selection.

Yes. Go to Settings → People to add family members. Each person has their own set of Zakat years and assets. When creating a new Zakat year, the default person is pre-selected; you can switch to any person in your list. The free tier supports multiple people with up to 2 years and 5 assets per person.

iCloud sync is a Premium feature. When enabled, your Zakat data syncs via CloudKit using your personal Apple ID — the same account used for all other iCloud services. LynxApps never has access to your iCloud data. To enable: upgrade to Premium, then go to Settings → iCloud Sync and turn it on. To disable: toggle it off in the same screen; your local data remains intact.

Zakat Book is local-only by default. Your data is protected by whichever iOS backup method you use:

• iCloud Backup: If enabled in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup, your Zakat Book data is included automatically
• Mac/PC backup: Backing up via Finder or iTunes also captures all app data
• iCloud Sync (Premium): Keeps a live copy of your data in your personal iCloud account

We strongly recommend keeping iOS backups active. We cannot recover data from a lost or reset device.

Zakat Book supports 5 languages with live switching (no app restart needed):

• English
• Arabic (RTL layout throughout)
• Urdu (RTL layout throughout)
• Indonesian
• Turkish

Change language in Settings → Language at any time.

1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Tap [Your Name] at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find Zakat Book and tap it
5. Tap Cancel Subscription

You'll keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period. All your data remains on your device.
